Summer 2016
This Summer is going to get pretty crazy! We have so many awesome events planned for Tammany View Student Ministry. I don't even know where to begin.
Summer Reading List! Throughout the Summer we have challenged our students to read at least one of the thirteen books that are on the TVSM Summer Reading List. We don't want to see the students sit around and waste their Summer away on video games and TV, so help us in challenging them to read a good book this Summer.
Lock In! July 8 & 9 will be our Summer Kickoff Lock In at the church. We will begin the night at 7:00 pm on Friday, July 8th and have a night full of nonstop fun until 7:00 am Saturday, July 9th. This will be an overnight event where students will have the opportunity to hang out with friends, play games, sing some songs, and study the Word of God.
Coffee Night! Thursday, July 14th we are leaving the building! Instead of having our regular ENCOUNTER service at the church we will be meeting at His Story/Coffee and Tea for You. This will be an awesome night for our students to invite a friend and get a free specialty beverage from a local Christian business.
Youth Week! The last full week of Summer break (August 22-26) will be an awesome week that we are calling Youth Week! This will be a week full of activities and fun for students entering 7th through 12th grades. Each day of this week will have different planned activities all leading up to the weekend which will be capped of by Youth Camp!
Youth Camp! The culmination of Youth Week! This will be an overnight camp event taking place on Friday, August 26 and we will be returning Saturday, August 27. This is going to be an awesome way for the students to end the Summer and transition into a new school year. A printable permission slip and information packet can be found HERE.
